Akigawa Baptist Church Building Project

Over the last several months, we have been busy working on making the church property more user-friendly. For the outside renovations, we changed the yard to a parking lot by lowering the ground level to the level of the street, and then we added a large wood deck over the parking lot. After that was done, we built a steeple and cross and put that on the top of the church.

For the inside renovations, the upstairs had three tiny rooms: two wood floor rooms, and one tatami room. We decided to remove the wall between the two rooms and open it up so we could use it as the sunday school area, and have accordion doors put in to keep the small room structure for when we need smaller rooms.

A long time friend and missionary by the name of Dave Williamson came to help us for about a month and a half to help with all the renovations. It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it, as now the church building has so much more usable space!!
